(SKU: LK7100C41B) Sigiriya which is also known as the Lion Rock is a giant column of granite rock which if over 180 meters in height and also exudes archeological and historical significance. A World Heritage Site, Sigiriya is surrounded by massive landscaped gardens, water ponds, terraced gardens, sculptures etc while the climb up is totally worth your time. With hand painted frescos adorning some of the rock walls, ruins of the palace is found at the top of the rock. On a small clearing about halfway up the side of the rock there’s a gateway to the palace which has been built in the form of an enormous lion.The Sigiriya Entrance Ticket will act as a pass to admit you to the site allowing you to roam the gardens and even climb to the top of the fortress. You also have the option of getting a guide for a very nominal fee which has to be paid separately.
