Experience:

You will be starting your tour at 4:00 pm from your hotel in Kandy. Your tour guide will pick you up and give you a brief background about Kandy’s history. He will also give you a bottle of mineral water to stave off your thirst for the period of your tour.

The first location of your itinerary is the area around the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. The temple and its premises were previously the Royal Palace of Kandy, centuries ago. As such there are many ancient monuments and things to see. There are also two outer temples that you will visit dedicated to minor deities of Buddhism, as well as the Sacred Bo tree.

After viewing these, you will board your bus to travel to the outskirts of Kandy City, where Peradeniya University is located. This university is one of the biggest in Sri Lanka and is also known to be one of the most beautiful in the entire Asian subcontinent. Along the way to the university, the countryside will have occasional sights such as Hindu Temples and ruins. The bus will stop at some of them. When you reach Peradeniya University, you will be given a brief tour of the place.

Next, you will be doing a drive-through tour of the sights in Gannoruwa. There will also be some places that you will spend a longer time at, such as the Agro Technology Park. You will be finishing off with a sunset stroll along the banks of the gushing Mahaweli, the longest river in Sri Lanka.

After spending a few relaxing minutes there, you will be returning to your hotel by 6:00 pm ending your tour.
