Thalgaswella Estate

The Thalgaswella Estate is located is Sri Lanka’s Galle District.  It was originally cultivated with sugar cane in the 1920s and was followed by rubber. Tea, imported from China was first cultivated in the early 1930s at the Thalgaswella Estate. Today, the estate is known for its superior quality low grown teas and has an annual production capacity of around 200,000 kilogrammes of tea. Talgaswella has a workforce of 460.
