Galge Entrance of Yala National Park
The Yala National Park which is located in the far South of Sri Lanka is a popular destination amongst tourists and locals alike and is well known for its leopard sightings, safaris and camping. The park which is divided into 5 blocks covers a massive land area and cannot be explored in one single day alone. The Galge entrance that offers access to the park’s 3rd and 5th blocks is less known amongst many and therefore you wouldn’t find massive queues unlike the Palatupana entrance. This gate / entrance is located about 18 km away from Kataragama and approximately 36 km away from Tissamaharama.
