The Bungalows are spacious while they are nestled amidst the forest canopy offering each unit spectacular views of the surroundings. There are 8 bungalows available at the lodge while each covers an area of 800 sq ft. Each unit comprises of a private living room area which leads onto a spacious bedroom that includes a king size bed. Both rooms comprise of floor to ceiling glass windows and doors opening out to a private verandah where you can take in the view. Each bungalow comprises of a large en-suite bathroom with his and her sinks and indoor and outdoor showers giving you the perfect holiday experience.

About Gal Oya Lodge, Ampara

Gal Oya is one of the most untouched National Parks of Sri Lanka while it's the only location in the island where Safaris are conducted by boat. The Gal Oya Lodge offers guests the chance to explore these natural wonders by offering environmentally friendly bungalows which adapts accordingly. The Lodge consists 8 spacious bungalows and one 2 bedroom villa while guests can enjoy meals at the on-site restaurant. A swimming pool is available within the premises while Jeep and boat safaris as well as nature treks can be organized accordingly.

Location of Gal Oya Lodge, Ampara

Spread across a private forest area of 20 acres, the Gal Oya Lodge welcomes you to discover a National Park which is overlooked quite often. The Lodge is located along the Bibile - Ampara/Inginiyagala Road at the end of the 30 km post. The drive from Kandy takes about 3.5 hours while the drive from the Bandaranaike International Airport will be approximately 6 1/2 - 7 hours. The Lodge also boasts of its own helipad while private tours can be arranged as per your request. The Gal Oya National Park was established in 1954 and is also the main catchment area of the largest reservoir in Sri Lanka.

A meet up with the aboriginal people of Sri Lanka also known as the "Vedda"s can be arranged.
